Authentic, Reclaimed Cedar Antique Barn Wood Wall Panels, Mixed browns/Mixed Grays/Weathered Barn Red

This earthy, gorgeous blend of naturally weathered-to-perfection patinas reflect the unparalleled beauty of reclaimed old-growth cedar found EXCLUSIVELY in PNW barns! These come from century-old barns salvaged directly by our crew in NW Washington State, and processed on site to create the most authentic, yet easily installed/maintained reclaimed barn wood panels available!

Rich with a working history and weathered to perfection; Pacific Northwest antique reclaimed barn wood has a beauty that is completely timeless.

Sourced directly from our Salvaged, Hand-Deconstructed barns, Our authentic reclaimed antique American barn wood is all you need to create a unique space, accent wall, or ceiling that perfectly finishes off any room or office. The application creates beautiful aesthetics with antique old-growth cedar and Douglas fir from 100+ year-old barns, weathered by nature yet beautifully preserved.  We turn this authenticity, without compromising the original patinas, into easy-to- install wall paneling.

HOW MUCH DO I NEED?

Measure the width and height of your space in feet(with a tape measure) and then write it down. Use a calculator to multiply the width and height of the area you want to cover. Add 10-15% to the total, depending on your project's complexity, to allow for waste to ensure you have enough planks to complete the project.

SPECS

Thickness: 3/8"- 1/2", Varied

Widths: Choose 2.5", 3.5", or 5", or a mix of all three

Lengths: 1.5'-4.5' (hand-selected with a complementary ratio)

Colors: Mix of weathered gray/silver, rich browns, golden amber, some with weathered barn-red paint.

Profile: Edges ripped straight, Ends cut square.

Each board is individually inspected and graded to ensure durability, preservation and long life.

With varied thickness around  1/2", our planks are resistant to Warping/Cupping (unlike common 1/8"-5/16" paneling). At this thickness, Our strong and versatile reclaimed old growth Cedar and Douglas fir is the most high-quality, workable reclaimed material available for wall panel applications! We also have longer standard lengths than any others, at 4.5'!

Compare our high-quality, old-growth, thicker planks against other, flimsy "peel and stick" planks, and the exceptional strength, authenticity, and enduring quality will be undeniable; the value of our product is clearly superior!

Lead time: As our authentic barn wood paneling is made to order, expect your order of less than 100 square feet to take about 1-2 business weeks to ship, sometimes 3 weeks (depending on demand). For orders of 100+ square feet, there may be a slightly longer lead time. For custom length and/or thickness combinations, Allow 2-5 business weeks. Shipping is via FedEx and takes 2-5 business days.

Installation: Each board will be back-planed (surfaced smooth on the backside) for clean mounting, and ripped to width, which will leave you with the authentic, original face texture on one broad face, and straight, square edges and ends for total ease of install. We recommend using our Reclaimed PNW Barn Wood Trim to finish your projects with bare edges/corners.

Installation is a piece of cake, and you will receive detailed instructions with your order. The only tools you'll need are a tape measure, miter saw, level, finishing air nail gun, chalk line and/or pencil, finishing square, and (in certain applications) construction grade adhesive/ caulking gun!

We recommend using construction grade adhesive as well as brads with a brad nail gun when installing directly onto drywall or OSB/sheathing less than 1/2" thick, or when installing onto ceiling applications.

When you receive your wall panels:

Take your boards out of the box and allow the wood to acclimate to your home's climate for at least 72 hours, although we would recommend 1-2 weeks, ideally. Lay the planks out  into a staggered layout, for the most desirable results, and cut as needed.

No two planks are the same – coloring and weathering depend on the barn’s location and exposure to the elements, because our wall paneling is made from only 100% RECLAIMED Antique American Barn Wood from the Pacific Northwest. The very nature of reclaimed barn wood material means planks may include knot holes--in these cases, we recommend painting the surface behind the planks to coordinate in tone or to blackout a white wall. You can do this using cheap, flat black paint or by stapling up tar paper.  Mark a level line at the bottom of the area to be paneled, and keep checking level of the boards as you work your way up.

A LITTLE ABOUT RECLAIMED WOOD, AND WHY IT'S ALWAYS THE BEST CHOICE!

Old-growth trees were typically larger and stronger, as they took decades, even centuries to grow and mature. Old-growth wood has greater density, is significantly heavier, and is more structurally stable than newly-harvested wood, which are desirable traits for specific “high-traffic” uses such as hardwood flooring. We are proud to provide a new life to these old-growth trees by offering a wide selection of reclaimed barn boards, dimensional lumber & timbers for all of your remodeling, restoring, building, and design needs!

Reclaimed antique barn wood is incomparable in terms of its ageless beauty and charm; these boards are truly unparalleled in each one's distinct quality and character. Our Pacific NW Reclaimed boards, lumber and materials all have beautiful, genuine rustic textures, traditional elegance and impressive durability.

As with ALL reclaimed barn wood products, many of the old historical “character marks” remain visible, as if proudly displaying ones' "war wounds", promising that our hand-deconstructed, cleaned, and inspected reclaimed materials are guaranteed to  bring warmth, charm and an uncommon sense of style to any commercial or residential new build and/or remodeling project.

These historical character marks, which include nail holes, saw marks, mortises, notches, bolt holes and rich patinas, communicate the authenticity and history of the wood’s former life.

Using reclaimed wood offers beauty and defining character that simply cannot be found in newly-milled lumber, and can never be duplicated.
